3/Thirds

One building stands out from the rest in Portland’s Southeast industrial area - colorful and clad in full-sized trees from top to bottom. Known as Tree Farm, the owners of 3/Thirds were smitten with the outlandish building from the moment they saw it and knew that this must be the home for the burgeoning full-service marketing agency.  Long-time lovers of atomic mid-century design, we were asked to create an office space that would capture the essence of their brand, passion for Eames-era goods, and meet the bold biophilic nature of the building. 

The agency occupies the entire top floor, which offers sweeping views of the entire city. As the first tenant of this floor, we had the opportunity to carve the space exactly to their needs, while taking advantage of the impressive views.  A model for the modern workspace, the 3/T office includes open and private collaboration spaces, individual zoom rooms, all-hands meeting area, recording studio, wellness room and open kitchen. Throughout the office, the design incorporates an impressive number of plants to add warmth, vibrancy and unsurpassed air quality to this urban location. We incorporated vintage finds throughout along with plenty of extra storage - we look forward to watching their space evolve as their collections grow in the years to come!
